Uruguayan Independence Day in Peru
? We are honored to have been part of Uruguay’s official independence celebrations in Lima, Peru. ???
It was a privilege to receive the kind invitation of the Ambassador of Uruguay in Peru, Luis Hierro Lopez, to join in the celebration of the 198th anniversary of Uruguay’s Independence, which took place on August 25, 1825.
On this occasion, part of our team in Peru (Andrés Américo, Violeta Bances Santamaria and Edson Rodas Prado), had the honor of representing BigCheese. By sharing moments with distinguished guests, diplomats and Uruguayan compatriots, we reaffirmed the solid values that unite us.
After the Ambassador’s inspiring words, we toasted to Uruguay’s independence. And, of course, the very essence of Uruguay could not be missing in this celebration. We enjoyed an exquisite Uruguayan barbecue and tasted authentic Tannat wines. The evening was full of warmth and a deep recognition of the path that Uruguayan companies are taking in Peru.
We wish to express our sincere thanks to Ambassador Luis Hierro Lopez for his generous invitation. We also extend our greetings to all the Uruguayan companies that, together with BigCheese, shared this moment of celebration.
