Vopero
Vopero is an online store of recycled and sustainable clothing that focuses on reducing the amount of textile waste. The platform offers a wide selection of garments for men and women. The clothing is sustainably sourced and undergoes a cleaning and restoration process before being sold. The platform collaborates with charitable organizations and donates part of its revenues to conservation and sustainability projects. In short, Vopero is an online store that cares about the environment and sustainability, and offers an alternative to fast fashion by selling recycled clothing and promoting sustainable practices.
The challenge
Find improvements to a robust architecture to take it to the next level. For this reason, an in-depth study of its components was carried out and tasks such as monitoring and data encryption were adapted to the best practices recommended by the Well Architected Framework.

Security has been greatly enhanced by incorporating automatic threat detection services, such as Guard Duty, or data encryption services such as KMS.

A performance monitoring tool was implemented in order to know in real time the operational status of the workload, which allows having a platform with an uptime close to 100%.

Due to the very significant traffic handled by Vopero, budget alarms were created which actively track the cost and notify of any present and future deviations. Such deviations before the implementation of this service represented up to 20% of the invoicing.
