Veriforce
Veriforce is a platform for scheduling COVID-19 discard tests. The service is distributed throughout the United States, allowing users in Los Angeles, Las Vegas and Chicago to make a digital agenda, have their results and a health passport that authorizes them to access different spaces, both public and private.
The challenge
The challenge was to create a “white label” platform to be marketed by Veriforce, and for each company that acquires the rights to use it to customize it according to their aesthetics, but for the code to be the same so as not to have to multiply uploads to production after each release of improvements. To achieve this, we used different Cloudfront distributions, in which the logos and styles of each brand reside. We made a technological core independent of the aesthetics of each client in its corresponding URL.
AWS applied in this challenge
The results

Simplify deployments and reduce the risk of having to perform several deployments at different URLs. Currently, there is a single core where updates are executed and then applied to the different brands that use the platform; this strongly optimizes production releases and improvements. Deployment time of new versions was reduced by 85%.

Low latency. By using CloudFront, a near-local experience has been enabled for users in different cities because some of the content is cached on local AWS servers and dynamic content is transferred over secure, high-speed, internal AWS networks.

Strong cost savings. Data transfer costs and server load are reduced by 500% because much of the content is cached in all U.S. regions. This saves us unnecessary trips to the servers to obtain this information. AWS charges for the download, and since there is cached content, Veriforce only pays for the first download in the corresponding region.
